Databases and data retention

Lens is based on 5 databases.

Why 5?

Because each has its specificities in terms of metrics and dimensions.

Global

You can follow and analyse your AdExchange (Adx) volumes through Lens.

In order to make it possible, Hubvisor made a connexion to Google Ad Manager’s (GAM) API, mapping and matching your Prebid set-up to your GAM set-up.

GAM’s API is not in real-time but updated hourly with the data of the previous hour.

This is why a new database was created: data from Prebid is real-time, while data from GAM is not.

Also, the granularity is different: there is more details concerning data from Prebid than GAM.

Due to those restrictions, the list of metrics and dimensions is limited.

The history of Global database is from January 2024 to date.

This database is used for the Home page and can be selected in the Reporting section for further analysis.

Real-Time

From this database, you will be able to follow with a greater time granularity all your Prebid performances.

You can analyse by the minute or the hour Prebid numbers.

Due to this high granularity in time, the list of metrics and dimensions is limited.

This database is especially relevant when you want to check your data after any deployment related to your ad inventory or your website structure.

The history of Real-Time database is 3 months up to date.

This database can be selected in the Reporting section.

Advanced

This is the largest database available on Lens.

Time granularity is limited to day, week and month. In return, the list of available metrics and dimensions is exhaustive.

For large reports, our advice is to use this database.

The history of Real-Time database is 15 months up to date.

This database is selected by default in the Reporting section.

Consent

The aim is to be able to analyse your ad inventory based on your users’ consent information.

You will find metrics and dimensions related to consent: consent rate, GDPR applies true or false, legitimate interest true or false, etc..

Using this database, you have all information to create your own definition of the users’ consent.

Our advice is to start using our Consent Reporting Template, available in the Reporting section.

The history of Consent database is 3 months up to date.

This database can be selected in the Reporting section.

WebPerf

In parallel to the business performances of your ad inventory, you are able to monitor and analyse your web performances.

From the moment the user is loading the page on your website to the moment the ad impression rendered, all the steps in-between are available in this database.

Our advice is to start using our WebPerf Reporting Template, available in the Reporting section.

The history of WebPerf database is 3 months up to date.
